Hi Everyone!
Instead of doing a traditional blog post, we’re doing something a little bit different today. I recently collaborated with the very sweet Maegan Christie, of Main Street Maegan, to answer 10 questions about Disney! We thought this would be a great idea so that you can all learn a little bit more about us and our love for Disney! Maegan is also posting a version on her blog, so be sure to head to her site and check that out as well! Let’s get started……
1. What is your favorite Disney quote and why?
Maegan: I love the quote “if you can dream it you can do it” by Walt Disney. He inspires me that no dream is too big or wild. If you have the passion and courage to pursue something you should go for it!

@thehappiesttravelsonearth
Me: I actually have 2 favorite quotes. The first one is “If you can dream it, you can do it.” This one has significance to me because when I graduated with my MBA, I decorated my cap with this quote. The cap now hangs in my room reminding me that you can do anything! Another one of my favorite quotes is “Growing old is mandatory, but growing up is optional.” I think people forget that no matter how old you are, you can always be a kid- which is part of the magic of Disney.
2. When was your first trip to Disney?

@mainstreetmaegan
Maegan: My first trip to Disney was in 2002 when I was only two years old. I don’t remember it much, but that’s where my love for Disney started! You can definitely say I grew up on Disney.

@thehappiesttravelsonearth
Me: The first time I went to Disney was in 1994 and I was one year old. As you would imagine, I don’t remember much but obviously something stuck, because here we are today!
3. What makes you love Disney so much?
Maegan: I love Disney so much because of the feeling I get when I walk through the gates of Magic Kingdom and peek around the corner to get the first glance of the castle. All the memories I have made every year with my family, they always remind me of the great times. Disney itself has always been dear to my heart, I find so much happiness in it and knowing when I can go back always makes me so excited. The nostalgic feelings, smells, tastes and sounds, bring me back to my childhood. If you love Disney, you can’t really tell or describe how you feel, because you don’t really know yourself. You just know that you love it wholeheartedly and it gives you that magical experience of being a kid again. It takes you away from all your worries and struggles and gives you the fantasy getaway you need sometimes. Without Disney, I wouldn’t be the person I am today.
Me: People always ask, how can you love Disney that much? Doesn’t it get old? And the answer is no. I know it’s going to sound corny, but there’s a certain magic that makes you feel like a little kid again when you see something Disney related. I mean Disney World is a magical place. The excitement seeing Cinderella’s Castle when you walk into Magic Kingdom or seeing the characters around the park, you can’t beat that. It just puts a smile on your face. Also, as I mentioned, I’ve been going to Disney for a while, so there are so many fun memories with my family that I think of and that make me smile! And I think that makes the whole experience even more special. When you go on certain rides or visit certain places, they invoke those memories.
4. Which character can you relate to most? Why?
Maegan: I can relate to Princess Tiana the most. I love her drive to work towards her dreams and never letting anything discourage her or get in the way. It continues to push me to keep working hard and believing everyday!
Me: Belle is my favorite Disney princess. Besides relating to her brown hair, she has some pretty cool qualities. I love that she is really determined and loves to read. Like Belle, I enjoy to read and love getting lost in the story. Belle is also kind and loyal, which are all qualities we strive to possess.
5. What are three things you can’t go to the parks without?

@mainstreetmaegan
Maegan: Three items I cannot go to the parks without have to be my sunglasses, Minnie Mouse Ears and my camera (Canon Rebel t6).

@thehappiesttravelsonearth
Me: This is a hard one. In terms of my purse, I definitely need a Disney themed purse, my camera (Canon G9X) and a packable rain coat (because let’s face it, it’s Florida and it always rains). But my 3 must haves in general are a glittery pair of Minnie Ears, a Disney themed tank/t-shirt and a comfy pair of flip flops.
6. What is your must-do park when visiting Walt Disney World?
Maegan: My must do park at Disney has to be Magic Kingdom! All the classic attractions, music and food is my favorite. I would spend everyday there if I could.
Me: A must do park for me and my family when visiting Disney is Epcot. We love walking around the World Showcase and trying different food and drinks! It’s lots of fun!
7. What is your one item on your Disney wish list that if you could get right now you would?
Maegan: It’s tied between a Kate Spade Minnie Mouse Backpack or a Dooney and Bourke Backpack!
Me: I really would love to get the Dooney and Bourke Disney Sketch Weekender Bag. I saw it at the Grand Floridian the last time I went and I can’t get it out of my head.
8. What is your dream Disney vacation?
Maegan: My dream vacation would either be a trip to Tokyo Disneyland or a trip split between Disneyland and Disney Aulani.

@thehappiesttravelsonearth
Me: When I was about 7, I went on a Disney cruise with my whole family and I haven’t been since. I really want to go on another Disney cruise. And I would also love to go to Aulani, like Maegan! In both of these instances, you have Disney characters in cute nautical/Hawaiian outfits, how can you go wrong?
9. If you could give someone who has never been to Disney one tip about visiting, what would it be?
Maegan: I say do your research. Look at blogs, YouTube videos, contact a planning/travel agent, get the MyDisney Experience App, learn how to make reservations/fastpasses, as these all can come in handy before your trip. I would try to learn as much information you can and see what you like/want to do and what you don’t. It also comes down to experiencing and learning what works for you and your family, which comes over time and each trip you take.
Me: I would definitely say to plan ahead. That comes two-fold. First, by planning ahead, you can try to get those super hard reservations and fast passes. Then, once you have everything booked, you can just enjoy the experience when you are there. Do the planning ahead of time so you can make memories when your there and just enjoy!
10. What is your favorite Disney snack/snack location at Disney World?

@mainstreetmaegan
Maegan: This is very hard for me to decide as I have so many that I even made a blog post about it! Yet right now, I would have to say I have fallen in love with churros and chocolate sauce! I also love the OMG It’s Gluten Free Brownie located at most quick service locations!

Me: Does Starbucks count? I’m one of those people that always loves Starbucks, but I mean in Disney, it’s even better. Although I do drink coffee, I love getting a Raspberry Iced Tea with Lemonade on those super hot Florida days. And I must say, Starbucks in Disney has this very yummy sugar cookie with Mickey sprinkles that they just need to distribute to every Starbucks because it’s that good. I also really love the Mickey Brownie at the Grand Floridian.
So there you go! We hope you learned more about us! Leave a comment below and let us know if you liked this type of post, if we should do it again and what some of your answers would be to these questions! I really enjoyed collaborating with Maegan on this post and hope everyone liked it!
