One of my favorite restaurants to visit at the Magic Kingdom is Liberty Tree Tavern. Liberty Tree Tavern is located near the entrance to Liberty Square, right down the road from the Haunted Mansion. The theme is colonial New England and the dinner is all-you-can-eat.
Inside View from Second Floor
Washington Dining Room
Upon entering, you are called to be seated with your family name and the state/place you are from. The restaurant features six different rooms themed after famous Americans, i.e. think George and Martha Washington and Ben Franklin. It’s fun to walk through the restaurant and see how the rooms vary based on the inspiration.
All-You-Can-Eat Dinner Menu
As I mentioned, Liberty Tree is an all-you-can-eat restaurant, where the food is served family style. You do receive a menu which lists the meal for the evening and drink choices.
The first thing delivered are the hot rolls. I think I lost count of how many I ate because they were that good.
Next up is the Declaration Salad which is a mixed salad with house made dressing. I cannot attest to the taste, as I didn’t eat it, but my family really enjoyed it.
Some of the Many Dinner Items
After the salad comes the good stuff. We were served turkey, pot roast and pork with mashed potatoes, stuffing, vegetables and mac and cheese. You are able to ask for seconds (and thirds) of any of the items you are served. All of the meat was juicy and prepared perfectly. You will not be disappointed.
Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake
For dessert, you are given an Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake, which is also all-you-can-eat. Consisting of vanilla cake with a toffee filling and vanilla ice cream, this one was a hit (and pretty to look at).
If you are a fan of Thanksgiving Dinner (and I mean who isn’t) then this restaurant is a must do for you! Besides the fact that you can eat as much as you’d like, the food is actually genuinely good. If your on the Disney Dining Plan, it is definitely worth the use of a table service credit.
